	Volunteering We love to have new volunteers from many different backgrounds! Whether you have only an hour to give each month, or a few hours each week, or are completing an acedemic service project, our neighbors would be happy to have your assistance. CURRENT NEEDS: Drivers are needed; if you like to drive please give us a call at 423-1879. Springtime always finds us saying goodbye to our Purdue students who primarily help us with housework. This leaves us extremely shorthanded during the summer months for our neighbors who need someone to run the sweeper or mop the kitchen floor. Lawn Mowing and yardwork are another summertime need. Please consider helping someone in this capacity, if you are able. This is a great project for students and families on summer break who want or need some service learning hours.

Frequent Questions

Are your volunteers trained?

No. Our volunteers are very kind people from the Tippecanoe and Tipton communities who just want to help families who need a little assistance now and then. Each home situation is different, and we will try to match a volunteer and his or her interests to the situation as best as we can. The family receiving the service can most effectively train the volunteer to respond to the particular person and situation.
